:( I had asthma when I was younger but it went away...

Turns out I have asthma again... I'm back on inhalers... rescue for now (only when I need it) but if I find myself using it a lot, when I go back in a month she's putting me on a maintenance inhaler instead.

BAH. Just what I need.

It took my mum 5 years to tell the doctors I had asthma after they kept dismissing the symptoms... Goodness knows what would have happened to me if she didn't convince them... I've had so many attacks I could have died a -long- time ago. 0___o;

I was ill about two years ago, and I was taking my inhaler every 5 minutes because I couldn't breathe at all. I got put on the purple ones (seretide evo-haler) because my blue and brown ones weren't having any effect on me. The purple one is good, I'm only taking it at night now when I'm at my worst, and I don't need to take any other inhaler because it gets me through the day.

I've never really told anyone about it... I guess I've always associated asthma with childhood and thought it a bit childish to have asthma now that I'm 20. 0_o

But eh... we'll be wheezing together. ;) xx

You poor thing! I can't say that I understand what it's like to have a full blown attack, but not being able to get a solid, good breath in is really scary. Much huggles from me!

Same thing happened to me. I suffered from asthma when I was little, it went away, then when I was about 14 I went on holiday to France, caught a really awful cold, which triggered off the asthma again!
